Since most of my awesome outfits don't fit (see 28 weeks pregnant) and my awesome wigs are in Hawaii, I decided that makeup would be my main costume. This is what I came up with...
Unfortunately, I didn't have a bright purple in my stash here in Washington. But I made due. Here are a few pictures of the process. It ended up taking about three hours for the complete makeup.
Outlining the shape of the eyes. I wore this early 1980's asian inspired tunic as the rest of my costume. It looked super retro sci-fi without trying too hard. Thus, it was perfect. My late grandmother gave it to my mother after I was born. I also wore my Daenerys dragon egg necklace, which also looked fabulous together with the costume and makeup. Listening to the Benny Benassi station on Pandora helped too.
This is about an hour in. Yes, I hand drew the lines under my eyes. And yes, that took the longest. I was a bit of a perfectionist. And what, pray tell, made it possible to get such sharp lines? Eyeko's Skinny Liquid Eyeliner! I LOVE this pen liner; its seriously the best one I have ever tried. Darkly pigmented and easy to create perfect lines, its worth the higher price tag.
Back in makeupland, after hours of contouring and blending blending blending, here is the finished look:

Though blurry, this is a better one showing my tunic.
Even though I couldn't drink, I had an amazing time and everyone loved the look. They were shocked to hear that I did it myself. And the funniest part, for me, is that 90% of the look was done with indie cosmetics! Take that overpriced brands! So what did I use...?
